Description

Markon is seeking a System Engineer Level 2 to provide technical leadership for the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of mission-critical communications and networking systems for the Fort Meade Customer. This role leads the implementation of packet-based hardware and software solutions utilizing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) technologies while driving end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, and network components. The position serves as a senior technical authority responsible for ensuring interoperability, operational performance, system reliability, and mission success across complex enterprise environments.



Responsibilities

    Lead the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based hardware and software systems
  • Support end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure components
  • Develop and implement system architectures, integration strategies, and technical solutions
  • Perform requirements analysis, system design, engineering assessments, and technical evaluations
  • Conduct system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities
  • Ensure interoperability, performance, reliability, and maintainability of deployed systems
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, test plans, deployment procedures, and technical artifacts
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders, vendors, engineers, and operational teams to support mission objectives
  • Support technology refresh, modernization, and capability enhancement initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the system lifecycle


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with ths customer
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field required
  • 14+ years of systems engineering, systems integration, or related technical experience
  • Experience leading the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based systems
  • Experience with COTS and GOTS hardware and software solutions
  • Strong experience driving end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, and network components
  • Experience developing system architectures and integration strategies
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies, systems engineering principles, and lifecycle processes
  • Experience supporting enterprise, communications, or mission-critical technology environments
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, mission-focused environment supporting complex technical programs


Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
