Aloha! One of TEKsystems' clients, a global technology solutions provider and systems integrator is seeking a System Engineer to join their team. Since this is a contract, the main project is helping the end client move their VMWare environment to Nutanix. Additionally, this role will assist in designing and supporting Cohesity-based backup, recovery, and data security solutions. Overall, qualified candidates will have deep experience in virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and enterprise data protection. Top Skills' Details 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, virtualization, or infrastructure roles. Strong handson experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter. Proven experience deploying and managing Nutanix AHV, AOS, Prism, and HCI architectures. Practical experience with Cohesity backup and recovery solutions. Solid understanding of storage, networking, and data center architecture. Experience with migration tools such as Nutanix Move. Ability to lead customer engagements and communicate complex technical concepts clearly. Job Description This role will focus on helping customers migrate from VMware vSphere environments to Nutanix AHV, while also designing and supporting Cohesitybased backup, recovery, and data security solutions. Migration & Infrastructure Engineering Lead endtoend customer migrations from VMware ESXi/vCenter to Nutanix AHV, including assessment, planning, design, execution, and validation. Perform environment discovery, workload analysis, and compatibility assessments to determine migration readiness. Deploy and configure Nutanix clusters, including AOS, Prism Central, AHV, networking, storage, and lifecycle management. Execute VM migrations using Nutanix Move or other migration tools, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity. Optimize Nutanix environments for performance, scalability, and resilience. Cohesity Data Protection Design, deploy, and manage Cohesity DataProtect and Cohesity SmartFiles solutions for backup, recovery, and ransomware protection. Integrate Cohesity with Nutanix, VMware, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications. Configure backup policies, replication, archival, and disaster recovery workflows. Support customers in restoring workloads, performing DR tests, and validating recovery SLAs. Customer Engagement & Support Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers throughout the migration lifecycle. Conduct architecture reviews, technical workshops, and knowledgetransfer sessions. Troubleshoot complex issues across virtualization, storage, networking, and data protection layers. Document designs, runbooks, and operational procedures. CrossFunctional Collaboration Work closely with project managers, sales engineers, and customer IT teams to ensure successful project delivery. Provide feedback to product and engineering teams on customer needs and platform improvements.
