Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Optometrist to join its Ophthalmology Clinic at a brand-new, state-of-the-art children's hospital designed entirely for kids. Position Summary

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Optometrist for the Mary Bridge Ophthalmology clinic. This role involves evaluating patients for optometry conditions, interpreting lab and other test results, and guiding families through treatment options.Responsibilities
*Sees patients independently in the ambulatory care setting:
oConduct physical exams and provide individual care plans for patients
oConduct diagnostic assessment, including ordering imaging and other diagnostic studies
*Interpret lab and test results and provide clinical recommendations and supportive guidance.
*Educate patients on disease process and treatment plans.
*Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
*Manage patients' treatment as well as medication management
*Stay up to date on advancements in relevant specialties
*Partner with the local, state and national programs as necessary
*Participate in specialized treatment plans and specialized clinics
Requirements
*Successful completion of a professional optometric degree program leading to an OD
*The program must be accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE)
*Current unrestricted Washington state license to practice optometry
*Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
*2 years of experience as a licensed optometrist in pediatric health care preferred
*Experience in Pediatric Optometry preferred.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $157,451.00 - $190,784.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
