Job Summary

GateWay Community College is now hiring for an exciting new role supporting the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation AI Lab. The program coordinator will lead the coordination and implementation of AI and automation infrastructure initiatives. This hands-on role will help translate AI strategy, system architecture, and operational needs into scalable, production-ready programs and processes. The program coordinator will oversee the design, development, and deployment of intelligent systems that support internal operations, workflow automation, data-driven decision-making, and venture development initiatives.

Essential Functions

40% - AI Systems Coordination, Automation Development & Operational Infrastructure:
Coordinates and supports AI-enabled operational systems, workflow automations, AI tooling infrastructure, integrations, documentation, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting CEI operations and startup ecosystem activities.

30% - Applied Intelligence Research, Strategic Analysis & Ecosystem Evaluation:
Conducts operational, startup, market, and technology research; performs competitive and ecosystem analysis; evaluates AI tools and vendors; and supports strategic planning, commercialization, and operational intelligence initiatives.

20% - Cross-Functional Coordination, Stakeholder Collaboration & Operational Support:
Collaborates with leadership, staff, vendors, students, startups, and external partners to support AI initiatives, workflow alignment, project coordination, communication efforts, and operational support activities.

10% - Other Duties as Assigned:
Perform additional operational, administrative, technical coordination, research, documentation and special project duties supporting CEI operations and evolving organizational needs

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business, public administration, information technology, computer science, management information systems (MIS), data analytics, engineering, business technology, project management or a directly related field and one (1) year of experience in researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis and preparing reports.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience coordinating or supporting AI and automation initiatives, with proficiency in AI tools, workflow automation platforms, and data-driven system

B. Experience with AI-assisted operational governance and workflow management, including agile and SDLC practices, compliance-aware operational controls, source validation and traceability methodologies, hallucination mitigation, audit trails, and process optimization.

C. Experience with startup ecosystems, incubators, innovation labs, commercialization initiatives, applied innovation programs, or research-driven operational environments.

D. Experience with CRM systems, data tracking, or reporting platforms.

E. 1 year full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two years.
