Overview & Position Summary

This role serves as the primary sales representative for assigned communities, guiding prospective buyers through the new home selection process while providing an exceptional customer experience. The position manages customer interactions from initial contact through contract completion, ensuring informed decisions and seamless transactions. It collaborates with sales leadership, construction, design, marketing, and operations teams to maintain current knowledge of products, options, timelines, and availability. The role also contributes to community performance by supporting sales targets, maintaining model home presentation standards, and fostering positive customer relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to prospective homebuyers, guiding them through the home selection and purchase process.
  • Conduct community tours, demonstrate model homes, floorplans, and available options, and answer customer questions.
  • Prospect and generate new sales leads through referrals, events, marketing initiatives, and online platforms.
  • Prepare, review, and process accurate sales contracts and documentation in compliance with company and legal standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, lead progression, and contract activity within CRM and sales systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Construction, Design, Marketing, and Transactions) to ensure timely and accurate information for buyers.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, address post-sale concerns, and escalate issues as needed to ensure resolution.
  • Stay informed of market trends, competitor offerings, and community conditions to develop effective sales strategies.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Up to 1 year of experience in home sales, real estate, customer service, or a related field.
  • Experience managing customer interactions and completing sales documentation.

Preferred:

  • Experience in new home sales, residential real estate, or community development.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, sales systems, or contract platforms.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional sales environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support effective customer engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple buyers and prioritize activities within a dynamic sales pipeline.
  • Problem-solving skills using prior experience, available information, and situational analysis.

  • Ability to interpret and clearly explain product details, policies, and processes.
  • Strong follow-up discipline and organizational skills.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in model homes, community sales offices, and general office environments. Regular movement through construction areas, homesites, and community amenities is required. Weekend availability and variable scheduling aligned with customer traffic are expected. Occasional travel between communities or company meetings may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk construction sites, community grounds, and multi-story model homes.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during customer interactions.
  • Ability to lift and carry light materials such as brochures or signage.
  • Ability to use standard office and sales technologies.
  • Ability to move between indoor and outdoor environments throughout the workday.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $29.80 per hour + comissions
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Bonus Type: None
