What to Expect
This position supports Tesla's active safety and homologation teams by executing vehicle-level testing for passenger and commercial vehicles. The role involves close collaboration with test engineers and vehicle engineering teams to perform tests at internal facilities and domestic proving grounds, requiring strong automotive service, maintenance, and testing expertise.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with test engineers and technicians to execute vehicle tests including part retrofits, test setup, driving, inspections, and diagnosis
- Perform testing to verify compliance with FMVSS and ECE regulations
- Install vehicle test equipment including sensors, automated controls, and recording devices
- Evaluate new vehicle software releases to identify regressions or compliance concerns
- Support engineering teams across the organization based on shifting priorities
- Manage test equipment inventory, calibration needs, and general shop maintenance
- Independently prioritize and complete multiple assignments to meet project deadlines
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive service industry
- Technical or automotive ASE certification or equivalent
- Advanced diagnostic and service experience with electric vehicles using CAN tools, meters, and oscilloscopes
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and systems such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Jira
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and travel up to 40% within the US
- Valid driver's license with basic fabrication and tire service experience

Expected Compensation
$24.40 - $65.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
