Data Center Architect We are seeking an Architect to support the design and development of next-generation data center facilities. This role will be responsible for leading architectural design efforts across new construction and retrofit projects, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, fire and life safety requirements, and operational standards while supporting high-performance, mission-critical environments. The successful candidate will manage the architectural scope throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design through construction documentation and project turnover. This individual will collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and code-compliant facilities. Responsibilities * Lead architectural design development for new data center construction and retrofit projects from concept through construction and project closeout. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, construction, and operations teams to integrate architectural systems with overall facility requirements. * Develop and maintain architectural design standards, specifications, and best practices. * Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with building codes, fire and life safety requirements, project standards, and operational objectives. * Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications produced by internal teams and external consultants. * Evaluate site-specific requirements and adapt standard designs to accommodate local codes, regulations, and project constraints. * Manage external consultants throughout the design process to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and project alignment. * Utilize Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Construction Cloud to develop, coordinate, and review design documentation. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related discipline. * 3+ years of experience supporting industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects within an architecture, engineering, or construction environment. * Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. * Strong understanding of building codes, fire and life safety requirements, and construction documentation practices. * Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. * Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information to project teams and leadership. Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. * Licensed Architect with NCARB certification or equivalent professional registration. * Experience leading multi-phase data center, industrial, or mission-critical facility projects. * Experience managing architecture and engineering consultants on large-scale projects. * Knowledge of Python, Dynamo, or other design automation tools within Revit workflows. * Experience supporting high-density computing environments, advanced technology facilities, or rapidly scaled infrastructure programs.
