The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assisting our Project Managers, engineers, and design teams with various project tasks related to the completion of various design packages (scope of work, schedule, budget, etc.). Keep up to date on issues, priorities, and sensitivities affecting the work of these groups through consistent communication. Responsibilities

    Assist the Project Managers, Sr. Project Managers, Engineers, and design teams with day-to-day project tasks, monitoring project timelines and deliverables, work plans, budgets, etc.
  • Assist with preparing, submission, and tracking of permit packages. Track through the permitting process.
  • Manage small/medium discipline projects. (Under the supervision of a Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager).
  • May be the primary communication link between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners.
  • Follows established procedures to effectively administer projects.
  • Manage permitting budgets and reconciliation.
  • May assist in the training of other Assistant Project Managers or project team members to familiarize them with SSOE or the client's specific requirements.
  • Reports permitting progress and/or problems to management utilizing standard operating procedures.
  • May attend client meetings and manage actions items thereafter.
  • Coordinate Request for Information, (RFI) submittals.
  • Facilitate resolution of permit review items until resolved, escalate critical issues.
  • Assist in coordinating meetings and establishing work processes for permitting and RFI resolution.
  • May travel to other SSOE offices and/or client locations for coordination purposes or to provide training.
  • Coordinates printing and processing of bulletin and addendum assembly with Project Management Assistant, (PMA).
  • Coordinate the completion and distribution of client as-recorded drawings and project close out documents.
  • Works under moderate supervision with moderate latitude for independent judgment.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, exercise learning agility, communicate verbal and written communication respectfully, apply attention to detail, commit to quality control, prioritize and multi-task, demonstrate professionalism under pressure, collaborate well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.


Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Construction Management with at least 1-3 years of relevant client-facing experience within the A/E/C industry required.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting construction plans.
  • An ability to analyze complex situations, identify issues, and propose effective solutions is essential.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and ability to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs and deadlines.
  • Good facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Salary Range: $73,000 - $95,000/year depending on location, education, depth of relevant experience, and any specialized licensure/certifications. Opportunity for ample rewards, leadership incentive components, and generous bonus opportunities.
