Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a Buyer II based in Chino, CA. The Buyer II is responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of products and materials used in our manufacturing and assembly processes. The Buyer II works closely with engineering, production, production planning and other key company departments to source and deliver materials such as fabricated sheet metal components, machined parts and electrical components from a wide array of domestic and overseas vendors.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $70,000 - $90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

What you will do
  • Collaborate with multiple departments within the company: Production Control, Quality, Engineering and Accounting
  • Place and expedite purchase orders to support production requirements
  • Research and establish new suppliers
  • Prepare RFQ's, negotiate price and terms
  • Arrange deliveries from vendors, monitoring product arrivals and inventory levels
What we require
  • 5+ years buying experience in a mid-sized manufacturing environment
  • Experience purchasing materials, sheet metal components, fasteners and machined parts
  • Experience purchasing electronic components and PCBA's a plus
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing drawings, ability to successfully interact with engineers
  • Familiarity with inventory control procedures and experience in MRP systems
