Broker I, National Healthcare Practice

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective risk transfer solutions as part of our National Health Care Practice Group. As a Broker II, you will report directly to senior leadership of the National Health Care Practice.

This is a hybrid role working both remotely and from our Washington, DC office.

What the day will look like

  • Professional who collaborates with the Senior Healthcare Brokers on client relationships, account strategies and insurance and reinsurance marketing activities for the healthcare book of business.
  • Supports the senior-level Healthcare Brokers with crafting the renewal strategy document to include a marketplace overview and loss analysis
  • Helps develop insurance and reinsurance underwriting submissions, including exposure information, losses, loss stratifications, and other analysis to provide to underwriters as part of the renewal process.
  • Assists with crafting cost comparison for a year over year look at renewal quotes as part of the client proposal presentation. Comparison to include changes in exposure, losses, coverage terms and conditions and cost of risk.
  • Development and review of issued policy, reinsurance certificate and/or certificate language
  • Owns the brokerage services, strategies, negotiations, and placements for smaller, less sophisticated accounts
  • Serves as a contributing team member for new business production
  • Leads special projects in support of the National Practice
  • Develop direct market relationships beyond routine placement activities through carrier meeting

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Insurance licensing required - complete required training and exam necessary to obtain appropriate agent's license(s) (may be obtained upon employment) and ongoing continuing education.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point;
  • Good written and communication skills to support conduct of business in a professional manner with external/internal clients and the marketplace.
  • Strong team player who understands the roles and responsibilities of other Aon professionals, assumes responsibility for the timely delivery of a professional work product in accordance with assigned roles, and facilitates communication among team members.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $75,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
