Salary Range: $19.30/hr Date: June 2026 Flying Food Group is seeking a reliable porter. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment to meet health and safety standards. This role is crucial in preventing contamination and ensuring that all equipment, surfaces, and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized according to regulator guidelines. Essential Functions - Follow established rules of each unit for entry to building and work areas, properly attired and in compliance with HACCP guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by unit management - Comply with company implemented sanitation Standard Operating Procedures including the company's HACCP Plan and Good Manufacturing Practices which maintains the company's compliance with USDA regulations. - Clean and sanitize all interior areas within the unit and the external unit property. Ensure that spills are promptly mopped up and floors are kept dry to minimize slips and falls due to wet floors. - Use proper detergents and degreasing solvents to maintain safe working environment for all production areas and maintain use and proper storage of sanitation chemicals and equipment. - Sanitize all restrooms and areas of common personnel traffic, including walls and floors. - Empty and clean refuse containers and dispose of refuse in proper bins for later removal. - Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Skills and Qualifications - One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Able to communicate with coworkers and supervisors and read machine operations monitoring instruments, as well as documents monitoring use of equipment used in daily sanitation procedures. - Able to work with hands to handle tools and equipment used in cleaning processes. - Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Supervisory Responsibility This position has non-supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in an industrial setting that may involve exposure to wet conditions, varying temperatures, and strong cleaning chemicals. The role is physically demanding, requiring worker to be on their feet for extended periods. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
