The School of Dentistry (SOD) human resources consultant will be a member of an HR team that provides strategic HR consultation, support, and services to the school's leadership and community. This individual will provide one-on-one consultation and coaching to academic and clinical department chairs, directors, supervisors, and staff to assist them in identifying and resolving problems. The HR Consultant will serve as a strategic partner and general HR support to the department chairs and Associate Deans, directors, supervisors, and all employee groups within the departments of Diagnostic and Biological Sciences, Primary Dental Care, and Clinical Systems. This individual must be highly knowledgeable of HR policies and practices, such as employee relations and contract interpretation, to provide prompt and accurate information, and will often partner with the University's central Office of Human Resources. Working Environment: Hybrid with three days in the office. Please note: The first 90 days will require five (5) days in the office per week, for learning purposes. Please note, this position is not eligible for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship. This position does not offer a STEM OPT training program. Job Responsibilities: Employee and Labor Relations - 40%
