THIS ROLE IS LOCATED IN ROUGEMONT, NORTH CAROLINA

What You Will Do:

  • Operate and maintain LNG facility equipment, including prime movers, turbine compressors, pumps, and motors, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

  • Monitor plant conditions, take critical equipment readings, and make adjustments to maintain safe and efficient liquefaction and vaporization processes.

  • Lead start-ups, shutdowns, and complex maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

  • Apply P&IDs and PFDs to troubleshoot process upsets, support operational decision-making, and execute gas handling procedures and LOTO (Lock Out, Tag Out) protocols.

  • Continuously monitor compression systems and process variables, responding to alarms and initiating corrective actions as required.

  • Perform routine and advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of plant systems and station equipment.

  • Train, mentor, and support junior technicians, fostering skill development and promoting a strong culture of safety and operational excellence.

What You Have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in an industrial setting, particularly focusing on plant operations and maintenan

  • Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication abilities.

  • Strong electrical and instrumentation background including, but not limited to, preventative and corrective maintenance of breakers, contactors, VFDs, soft starts, generators, MCCs, batteries and UPS systems, and instrumentation.

  • Strong mechanical background including, but not limited to, preventative and corrective maintenance of pumps, compressors, and valves in an industrial environment, coupling and balancing of prime movers and their connections to process equipment, and maintenance of fans, belts, and bearings.

  • Ability to control and continuously monitor compression and process variables associated with all operating modes at the LNG facility.

  • Possession of a legitimate driver's license and the capacity to use company vehicles and equipment.

  • Ability to use PIDs and CSDs to troubleshoot process issues, and to plan and implement gas handling procedures and LOTOs.

Preferred:

  • Related technical diploma

Working Conditions:

  • This is a safety-sensitive position subject to random drug testing.

  • Working environment: outdoor processing area, indoor processing area, maintenance shop, and office/control room including climbing, working at heights and various weather conditions.

  • Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises.

  • May be required to work overtime and 10-12 hour shifts with occasional overnight stays.

  • Travel up to 25% may be required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
