The day begins. You step in with purpose.

Here's what it takes to succeed with us:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analysis, design, systems engineering, and mathematical skills.
  • Experience with commercial CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent.

  • 15-20 years of experience using commercial analysis tools such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, NASGRO, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, and Mathcad (or equivalent, preferred).
  • Familiarity with classical structural analysis references such as Bruhn's Analysis and Design of Flight Vehicle Structures, Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain, Peterson's Stress Concentration Factors, and Machinery's Handbook.
  • Experience with automation, scripting, and API development using VBA, Python, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Experience developing components and assemblies involving metallic materials in the plastic regime, fabrics, polymers, and composites is preferred.
  • Direct experience supporting aerospace or NASA hardware programs is a plus.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Perform classical and finite element analyses (FEA), including linear/nonlinear static, modal, frequency response, random vibration, and explicit/implicit transient analyses for flight hardware, oil field components, and related systems.
  • Evaluate structural integrity for failure modes, including static strength, fatigue, fracture, buckling, stability, and creep.
  • Analyze and verify the structural adequacy of mechanical joints, including welds and fasteners.
  • Support Project Managers and Integrated Product Teams by contributing to proposals, change requests, design reviews, and other customer-driven engineering activities.
  • Prepare presentations, interim reports, and technical summaries based on analysis and test results.
  • Develop, coordinate, and obtain approval for formal design certification and approval documentation with customers.
  • Support fracture control assessments and fatigue-life analyses for flight hardware.
  • Apply appropriate engineering methods, assumptions, simplifications, and professional judgment to solve complex structural problems.
  • Document analysis results and prepare certification reports for hardware qualification and approval.
