Responsibilities

ThePlanner Estimator is responsible forplanning and estimatinghighly complexstructural, electrical, and mechanical commerciallevelprojects. Theywill report to theTask OrderManager (TOM) andassistthe Service Manager on an as needed basis.

  • Gathering data and assisting in preparing bid proposal estimates anddesign/build proposals.
  • Performing take-offs from drawings and pricing change orders
  • Understanding plans and specifications toidentifythe types and grades of materials and equipment needed and to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Understanding and applying cost fundamentals;maintainingcurrent,accurateinformation on prices fromsuppliesand contractors.
  • Preparing bid packages and obtaining pricing from subcontractors and vendors
  • Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbingequipment,materialsand specifications
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Experience with contract documents such as contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendum,
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, andprincipalsinvolved in the production of plans,blueprints,and drawings.
  • Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize andaccomplishwork
  • Generating high quality work
  • Working well with otherstoreach a common goal.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management with 5+ years of experience
  • Associate degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience
  • High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in planning and estimating structural, electrical and mechanical projects in a large or multiple facility with highly complex mechanical, electrical and structural requirements, and Project Management experience.
  • Must be competent in the use of RS-Means.
  • Working knowledge of Accubid a plus.
  • Working knowledge of BIM a plus.

Abilities:
