The Regional CFO is accountable for providing strategic financial leadership and fiscal integrity to all aspects of regional operations. The Regional CFO will lead financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and risk management across region(s) while aligning financial strategies with corporate objectives.



Responsibilities

Organizing and Prioritizing
    Ability to manage complex, multi-regional financial operations and priorities
  • Ability to meet deadlines by coordinating with Regional Presidents/GM, Corporate CFO, and executive leadership
  • Proactive approach to identifying critical business, financial, and operational issues across multiple regions
  • Ability to provide governance and strategic oversight to regional finance teams
Communication & Presentation Skills
  • Viewed as the regional finance executive who can effectively communicate with executive leadership, corporate accounting, operations, and business development
  • Ability to persuade and influence senior leadership and financial peers to achieve desired results
  • Capable of presenting complex financial information in strategic, big-picture terms
  • Maintains confidentiality and delivers constructive feedback
  • Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization
Problem Solving & Decision Making
  • Identifies and implements improvements to financial processes, forecasting accuracy, and risk mitigation
  • Leads regional finance leaders in resolving complex accounting and operational issues
  • Establishes and drives corporate-level financial initiatives
  • Understands and communicates the long-term impact of major business decisions
Quality Assurance and Control
  • Ensures all company financial policies and reporting requirements are implemented across region
  • Provides oversight of financial processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and fiscal integrity
  • Implements internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Trains and mentors finance staff on corporate accounting procedures and compliance
  • Identifies and escalates significant risk issues to executive leadership
Operations & Financial Management
  • Leads and enforces compliance with company financial processes
  • Accountable for accurate and timely P&L reporting at the regional and corporate consolidation level
  • Oversees month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for all assigned regions
  • Ensures accurate contract, billing, and cost structures are implemented
  • Communicates key financial trends and cash positions to corporate leadership
Business Acumen
  • Serves as the primary financial strategist for assigned region(s), influencing business decisions
  • Provides strategic analysis to support long-term growth and profitability
  • Understands GAAP and construction industry-specific financial requirements
  • Provides guidance on contracts, insurance, and compliance matters
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Partners with Regional Presidents/GM to drive financial performance and accountability
  • Holds regional finance leaders accountable for results and compliance
  • Acts as a bridge between regional operations and corporate finance
  • Mentors and develops future finance leaders within the organization


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, CPA) preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in construction or a related industry
  • Proven ability to lead multi-region finance operations
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (Oracle, Vena, etc.)
  • Expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and cash management
  • Strong understanding of construction accounting and industry regulations
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing finance leaders
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements


Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Compensation Information

The expected salary range for this position (Chief Financial Officer) in US-NV-Las Vegas is between $200,000 and $290,000 USD. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Suffolk's total compensation package. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Suffolk offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of its overall compensation strategy. Salary ranges may differ by geography and are reviewed regularly to reflect market trends.
