*Position is shift based and occurs on weekday and/or weekend/holiday doing admission coverage performing clinical assessments and triage of patients to inpatient and non-inpatient levels of care.
*Job responsibilities include: o Review available outside chart information, as well as incorporate information obtained by CEC nursing and MHS staff oCompleting all documentation at the time of the encounter and as required by credentialing agencies and the hospital bylaws oWhen admitting patients to the hospital entering appropriate and complete all CEC and unit nursing and safety orders, medications, labs, and consults and perform a medication reconciliation oObtaining and documenting insurance pre-authorization if needed oAssisting in the management of on-unit emergencies and provide acute treatment as needed oOn weekends and holidays perform "medical clearances" for referrals to Belmont and Middleboro cases when not doing admissions on CEC Qualifications - External Degree: M.D. degree (or equivalent as confirmed by ECFMG) required License: License to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of MA or in the state where services are provided. Experience: 3 to 4 years formal residency education in a program approved by the RRC of the ACGME.ABP&N eligible or certified psychiatrist.
