Responsibilities

The Intelligence Subject Matter Expert (SME) I supports the Integration and Test team on the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) program by providing intelligence domain knowledge for testing, troubleshooting, training, fielding, and exercise support. This role works with test engineers, software engineers, systems engineers, training personnel, and other stakeholders to verify intelligence-related system behavior, identify issues, support defect analysis, and help confirm that JLCCTC capabilities meet user and mission needs.



  • Provide intelligence subject matter expertise for JLCCTC testing, integration, training, fielding, and exercise support.
  • Support intelligence-related functional areas such as intelligence operations, intelligence preparation of the operational environment, collection management, intelligence reporting, sensor representation, scenario support, and related operational workflows.
  • Assist with test planning, test execution, test case review, and validation of expected intelligence-related system behavior.
  • Help identify, document, and analyze intelligence-related issues found during integration events, point-to-point testing, regression testing, fielding, training, and exercises.
  • Support PTR analysis by providing intelligence context, expected behavior, reproduction steps, and recommended priority or impact.
  • Work with software, systems, quality, and test teams to help verify that fixes meet intelligence, functional, and operational needs.
  • Support troubleshooting of JLCCTC intelligence-related issues during lab, fielding, training, and exercise events.
  • Assist with classification, releasability, and cross-domain coordination by providing intelligence context and working with appropriate government representatives.
  • Assist with the development and review of training materials, SOPs, user guides, test documentation, and intelligence-related functional procedures.
  • Train and mentor team members on intelligence workflows, operational use cases, military unit structure, and intelligence support to constructive simulation.
  • Communicate intelligence-related issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in reviews, working groups, risk discussions, and planning meetings as needed.
  • Support domestic and international travel to military installations for testing, fielding, training, or exercise support.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent military/DoD operational experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting DoD programs, military intelligence operations, modeling and simulation, training exercises, integration and test, systems engineering, or related work.
  • Experience supporting intelligence operations in a military, DoD, training, simulation, or exercise environment.
  • Experience participating in military constructive or simulated training exercises as an operator, observer/controller/trainer, intelligence SME, or support team member.
  • Knowledge of military unit hierarchy, staff functions, intelligence workflows, operational reporting, and intelligence support to operations.
  • Experience working with technical teams to analyze issues, explain expected system behavior, and support validation or verification activities.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to brief findings, recommendations, risks, and issues to team leads, program leadership, customers, or stakeholders.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to military installations in support of JLCCTC program activities.


Desired Qualifications



  • Prior experience with JLCCTC, WARSIM, WARSIM Intelligence Model, or similar constructive modeling and simulation software.
  • Experience supporting intelligence functions during fielding, site training, integration events, point-to-point events, or military exercises.
  • Experience with intelligence systems, sensor simulation, intelligence reporting, scenario generation, parametric data, or exercise database support.
  • Experience working with classification guides, foreign disclosure processes, releasability reviews, or cross-domain information concerns.
  • CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8140/8570 certification, as applicable to assigned system access.
