General Summary:

As the HR Assistant you will be responsible for assisting in HR activities and programs under general supervision. Assist with projects/assignments in benefits, compensation, staffing, employee relations, training and development.

Minimum Requirements:



  • Two-three years working in HR department, clerical or secretarial position.
  • Excellent interactions skills with employees.
  • Valid driver's license with a cleaning driving record.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Associates Degree in HR field desirable.


Duties and/or Responsibilities:



  • Assist with all areas of recruitment (job posting, applications, tracking of applicants & hiring process, pre-employment testing, orientation, etc.
  • Research, schedule, facilitate, and attend a variety of recruitment events.
  • Provide assistance to employees and supervisors on a variety of basic policy and benefit questions.
  • Update and coordinate the distribution of communication materials regarding benefits.
  • Accurately perform data entry into HRIS.
  • Prepare and maintain team member files on a daily basis.
  • Prepare new employee orientation materials/packets and assist with orientation.
  • Provide support to the Human Resources team in various tasks, duties and special projects..
  • Answer questions from team members, supervisors, and the general public.
  • Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed..
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and proficient math skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, tact, diplomacy and critical thinking skills when dealing with employees and the public.
  • Ability to work with and assist employees
  • Able to work independently and under time constraints.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a benefit within various regions.
  • Must maintain confidentiality.
