Position Summary:

The Human Resources Intern supports key human resources activities while gaining practical experience in a professional and regulated banking environment. This role offers exposure to people practices employee support and organizational processes while working closely with experienced HR professionals.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide day to day administrative and project support to the Human Resources team
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring activities including interview scheduling and candidate communication
  • Support onboarding and orientation activities for new employees
  • Maintain accurate employee records and assist with data entry in HR systems
  • Prepare basic reports and summaries related to HR activity
  • Support special projects related to employee engagement learning or process improvement

Required Qualifications:



  • Cumulative GPA near or above 3.0
  • Active enrollment as a rising Junior or Senior in a Bachelors degree program at an accredited college or university
  • Academic focus in HR, Business Management, I/O Psychology or related field
  • Relevant coursework or academic projects related to people management
  • Exposure to professional or office based environments
  • Housing and transportation is not provided


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous internship or part time professional experience
  • Exposure to HR systems including (but not limited to) applicant tracking systems and reporting tools
  • Demonstrated interest in human resources as a career
  • Experience in structured or regulated environments
  • Basic proficiency with office productivity tools

  • Professional communication skills to include clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Comfort working with basic data and summaries
  • Customer service mindset and professional approach


Work Location and Physical Demands:

This position is located at Corporate Headquarters. Duration (summer, 7-12 weeks) Employees in this role may apply for a hybrid work schedule after the successful completion of 50% of the designated tenure of the internship assignment. Approval is subject to performance, department needs, and manager's discretion.

While performing the duties of this position, the successful candidate is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, keyboards or controls; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop or kneel. Must regularly lift and/or move files and equipment up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pound objects. Specific vision characteristics required by this position include close vision, adjust focus, and view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
