The Director of Trauma Program and Emergency Preparedness is responsible for the strategic, operational, and clinical oversight of the hospital's trauma services and emergency preparedness program. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including trauma designation requirements, while advancing high quality, patient-centered care across the continuum. The Director leads multidisciplinary collaboration to optimize trauma outcomes, coordinates disaster readiness initiatives, and integrates emergency preparedness into organizational strategy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field required. EXPERIENCE: 1. Three (3) years trauma clinical experience (Emergency Department or Critical Care). 2. Three (3) years of experience in an emergency management or disaster preparedness role. To be completed as established by department: (Administered at Department level): 1. FEMA Emergency Management Certification PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. FEMA HICS 100, 200, NIMS 100, 200, 400, 700 EXPERIENCE: 1. One (1) year of experience conducting operational planning.
