Overview

To support the mission of Helio Health, Inc. the Finance Specialist provides accounting support to Accounting Manager and Finance team in meeting the fiscal data entry, and needs of Helio Health, Inc.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.50/hr

In addition to Helio Health's comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign-On Incentive up to $1,500!

Working Relationships

    Receives supervision from Accounting Manager - Accounts Receivable, Accounting Manager - Accounts Payable, Accounts Payable Team Leader and/or Purchasing Manager and keeps supervisor informed regarding content of workload.
  • Responds to accounting requests from Helio Health, Inc. staff.
  • Works closely with other Finance staff.
  • Maintains relationships with outside vendors.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare all invoices for entry into accounting system, including obtaining the appropriate approval and supporting documentation for each invoice, and process in a timely manner.
  • Prepare Operating and PNA aged payables for review and approval of CFO and/or President/C.E.O weekly.
  • Process, distribute and void checks on a weekly basis for Helio Health, Inc. main operating account and PNA account. This includes processing online vendor payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements monthly.
  • Reconcile Petty Cash monthly, or more often if needed.
  • Maintain Sales Tax and Gas Tax spreadsheets for quarterly submission to NYS.
  • Organize and expedite the flow of accounting information to and from other departments.
  • Maintain relationship with vendors, address issues and answer questions.
  • Maintain Accounts Payable files, both current and historical.
  • Prepare all invoices for entry into Representative Payee and accounting systems, including obtaining the appropriate approval and supporting documentation for each invoice, and process in a timely manner.
  • Prepare payables in Representative Payee system for review.
  • Process and distribute checks on a weekly basis to FMU recipients
  • All other duties as assigned, which include but are not limited to:
    • Manage Receipt books
    • Ordering supplies for Finance
    • Process 1099s (annually)
    • Maintain Operating lease schedule
    • Backup functions for Finance and Contract Specialist


Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or G.E.D. required
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience in data entry or other accounting/finance related field.
