Summary Responsible for operating a variety of solid waste vehicles to collect and transport solid waste and recycling materials to the transfer station and/or landfill for disposal on a daily basis. Perform physically demanding duties during strenuous weather conditions. Primarily responsible for operating a Roll-Off truck in the Commercial Services Division. Also, responsible for the efficient operation and care of assigned equipment. Pay Range: Depending on qualifications and experience Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Physical Requirements / Work Environment The incumbent drives a vehicle from stop to stop and frequently exits and enters vehicle while collecting solid waste and/or recycling materials; frequent exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Majority of work performed outdoors with exposure to all types of weather conditions. 8-10 hours of drive time on a daily basis in all weather conditions. Must possess sufficient vision to accurately read written and typed documents. Ability to lift and/or pull up to 50 pounds several times daily. | |
