What You'll Do

You'll get your hands dirty serving as a mid-level auto tech performing medium-duty work. Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing highly skilled maintenance and repairs for all vehicles diesel and gas.
  • Performing diagnostics which may include brake components, tires, suspension components, drivability and complete repairs.
  • Performing advanced diagnostics, which may include charging, starting, AC, OBDII, drivability, electrical systems and complete repairs.
  • Performs complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and some fabrication.
  • May perform vehicle recalls.
  • Completing mechanical inspection including required measurements, which may include interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components, under hood inspection and document deficiencies.
  • Perform daily inspections - Mechanic shop lift inspection, Service vehicle inspection, clean and maintain work area as assigned.
  • Complying with applicable procedures and regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires and disposable trash.
  • May up fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
  • Utilizing approved vendors to obtain parts.
  • Work on passenger vehicles, all makes and models.
  • Must stay up to date with company training and required task.
  • Must be able to identify frame issues following NAAA guidelines.
  • Communicates with procurement to acquire necessary parts, supplies and materials if not in stock.
  • Maintains shop supply inventory at acceptable levels.
  • Investigates and addresses technical and/or process issues.
  • Alerts team lead and/or management about difficult issues, patterns and trends.


Who You Are

You've laid your foundation of skills and want to continue learning and advancing. A born team player, you're continually inspired by your teammates (and you motivate them in return). You also have the following qualifications:

Required:

  • 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs or more with no issue.
  • Must be able to stand 8 hours or more and walk up and down stairs with no issues.
  • Be able to work under different weather conditions and outdoors, fast-paced work environment.


Preferred

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Current ASE Certification: G1, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8 when required by leadership.
  • Wholesale auction mechanic experience preferred but not required.

MCCOX

USD 22.02 - 33.08 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $22.02 - $33.08/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
