Sony is looking for an experienced Senior Business Manager to achieve organizational goals by developing, building and leading the execution of marketing strategies for all products within the group. This position will have overall accountability for marketing programs, promotions and communications designed to stimulate awareness and generate demand creation for the News Production Systems and Products. The Business Manager will be part of a team of internal professionals in the development of forecasts and strategies that gives Sony a competitive edge in the market. In addition, this position is responsible for overseeing related advertising and pricing decisions, directing sales promotion and distribution strategies. This person will interface with product planning and marketing counterparts in Japan.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees PDCA cycle to achieve organizational goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

  • Accountable for group P&L management and related budget management.

  • Utilizes long-term sales and market research data to define midrange and yearly fiscal business targets.

  • Preparation & presentation of key topics at business review and planning meetings with Japan HQ.

  • Managing life cycle process such product introduction, discontinuation and promotions

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Arts or Related Science Degree

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Management or similar role, preferably with news production or Broadcast Production

  • Minimum of 3 years of product management

    • Strong ability with financial and budgetary processes

    • Experience in developing business strategy

    • Strong leadership skills, with focus on analytics, process improvement,

    • Experience in forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain.

  • Strong ability with database and information systems software.

    • SAP (BW & PRP)

    • Microsoft Suite of Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access)

  • Strong presentation skills, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working for a broadcast product manufacturer preferred

  • Power BI a plus but not required

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $111,108.00to $148,143.00.The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus plan, which is based on company performance and is not guaranteed, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.
