Utility Worker/Janitor Company: TriMas Company LLC Primary Location: 4250 Oasis Street, Mesa, AZ 85215 USA Workplace Type: On-site Employment Type: Hourly | Full-Time Function: Manufacturing Production / Distribution Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Main Duties & Responsibilities Summary/Objective: Cleans and maintains the facility, production floor, common areas, restrooms, and exterior grounds. Removes trash, scrap, recyclables, and production remnants in accordance with company procedures. Operates powered cleaning equipment and material handling equipment to support housekeeping and facility operations. Assists with facility organization, waste disposal, and general plant upkeep as directed. This is a 1st shift position, working Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm, not including OT. Core Job responsibilities: Under supervision and/or direction with frequent review, performs the following janitorial duties involving minor complexity at times: Cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease, overhead pipes, light fixtures etc. Cleans screens and filters. 16. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: 1. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 2. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: 1. Environmental Surroundings -Work is in a machine shop environment where noise, temperature fluctuations, the repetitive nature of the job, etc. are less desirable than a typical office environment. 2. Unavoidable Hazards -Possible hazards related to cuts, bruises, finger and hand injuries, and muscle strains. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, metalworking fluids, and airborne particles. Appropriate protective wear regarding eye, ear and clothing are required. 3. Equipment / Process Responsibilities -Performs duties where proper cleaning, housekeeping, and facility maintenance are required to support safe and efficient operations. Operates cleaning equipment, material handling equipment, and other assigned tools in a safe and responsible manner. 4. Material or Product Responsibilities -Performs duties requiring attention to detail to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company housekeeping and environmental standards. 5. Safety Responsibilities -Good housekeeping, knowledge of and adherence to Company Safety Rules. Experience: 1. Position type/Expected Hours of Work. Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. On-Site: This role is required to be on-site at the Mesa, Arizona location. Qualifications Required Education and Experience:
Compensation In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $24-27. Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location.
