Your Responsibilities as a Construction Technician 1:



  • Perform field labor related to the maintenance and repair of stormwater infrastructure systems.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform vegetation management and site maintenance activities using string trimmers (weed eaters), brush cutters, and similar equipment.
  • Support erosion and sediment control installation and maintenance activities.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Document daily activities, field observations, and completed work.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Participate in training opportunities to develop construction and technical skills.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Actively pursue professional growth and career development opportunities.


What we're looking for:



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to two years of construction, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related field experience preferred.
  • Experience safely operating string trimmers (weed eaters) is required.
  • Experience operating skid steers is a plus.
  • Experience with stormwater infrastructure maintenance, erosion control, drainage systems, or related construction activities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sediment and erosion control practices is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Comfortable operating pickups and towing equipment trailers.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Strong commitment to safety and OSHA-compliant work practices.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, accept direction, and work as part of a team.
