Dallas College seeks an innovative, visionary, and entrepreneurial leader to serve as the Vice Provost, School of Education, providing strategic leadership for one of the most important educator preparation programs in Texas. Reporting directly to the Provost, the Vice Provost will lead academic excellence, program growth, student success initiatives, faculty development, community partnerships, and workforce alignment for the School of Education while helping advance Dallas College's mission to transform lives and communities through higher education.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the largest and fastest-growing producer of teachers in North Texas. Established in 2021, Dallas College's School of Education became the first community college in Texas to offer a Bachelor's Degree in Education, creating an affordable, high-quality pathway into one of the region's most impactful professions. Today, the program serves more than 1,000 students and continues to expand its influence across North Texas, where districts collectively hire more than 3,000 new teachers annually.

The School's innovative model allows students to complete a four-year bachelor's degree for approximately $12,000 in tuition while remaining connected to their communities and support networks. Graduates enter a profession where starting teacher salaries across North Texas are approaching $70,000, with performance-based compensation models creating opportunities for exceptional educators in high-need schools to earn total compensation approaching $120,000.

Serving within Texas' second-largest community college system-and in a state ranked No. 1 for job growth-the Vice Provost will have the extraordinary opportunity to strengthen and scale a teacher preparation pipeline that directly contributes to educational attainment, economic mobility, and workforce development across a region that educates nearly 10% of Texas students and approximately 1% of the nation's children.
