Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC Pediatrics physician to join our Pediatric Child Abuse Safety Team (CAST) in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.


Opportunity Details

  • Candidates interested in General/Outpatient Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine welcome to apply
  • Part-time opportunity with opportunity for full-time employment in combination with FTE for clinical practice
  • Provide Child Maltreatment Evaluations and follow-up care
  • Join a dedicated team that includes other Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, and certified medical assistants that are passionate about child protection
  • Our Child Abuse Safety Team (CAST) is dedicated to ensuring safety and providing care for child abuse victims. Our CAST offers:
    • A dedicated team to triage phone calls and administer ED evaluations and in-house consults
    • Appropriate diagnostic and forensic investigations
    • A liaison to DCFS, police, and the court system
    • Outpatient services, including forensic data collection and foster care clinic evaluations
    • Advocacy for the child's well-being upon return home or safe placement in the community
    • Education and training for providers
    • Timely follow-up to keep the referring physician informed
  • CAST enhances current services provided by a well-established outpatient Child Protection team. The program also works closely with Carle Emergency Department's Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program, the only state-wide 24/7 SANE program that includes pediatric sexual assault evaluations

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $295,000 - $315,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
