Overview

Market President for Fulton Bank's Northern New Jersey and Lehigh Valley Markets

This key role is responsible for enhancing the bank's brand, driving new business development, and fostering community connections. The Market President serves as the senior most executive in the assigned market will ensure effective collaboration across the various business lines to create and promote our market differentiator to enhance customer relationships, financial performance, and employee engagement. Additionally, this role may be accountable for an enterprise strategic priority.



Responsibilities

    Serve as the primary representative of the bank within the market, enhancing customer engagement and loyalty. Drive increased wallet share by fostering strong, trust-based relationships with clients. Ensure exceptional customer experience, reflected in high Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and accountable for the financial performance of the market, focusing on increasing wallet share and profitability.
  • Actively participate directly or through local employees in community activities, serve on local boards, etc. to enhance the bank's visibility and reputation. Build and manage the bank's market advisory boards to gather insights and drive community-centric strategies. Oversee the budget for community activities and sponsorships, ensuring effective allocation and impactful presence.
  • Generate a pipeline of new clients through industry contacts, board memberships, and community involvement. Support and influence others within the bank to identify and seize business development opportunities. Leverage connections to centers of influence to drive strategic partnerships and client acquisition.
  • Promote cross-selling initiatives across all of Fulton's lines of business and banking segments. Facilitate strong partnerships and drive cross-sell between different lines of business to enhance service offerings and client solutions.
  • Foster a community feel among local employees, supporting leaders in driving high levels of employee engagement. Maintain awareness of talent shifts and market trends to support strategic talent attraction and retention initiatives. Influence local leaders to ensure alignment with the bank's values and strategic priorities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • May have supervisor duties to plan, assign, and evaluate the work of staff, provide guidance and coaching.


Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: business, finance or related field. (Required)

Master's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: business. (Preferred)

Required Experience
  • 10 or more years leadership experience in banking, with a strong understanding of consumer and commercial financial services products with proven cross-sell across various banking segments and customer relationship management.
  • 10 or more years proven track record in business development, community engagement, and strategic networking.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for community involvement and employee engagement
  • Exceptional leadership and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and strategic initiatives
  • Deep knowledge of market trends and community dynamics
  • Ability to travel throughout designated markets and Fulton's headquarters in Lancaster, PA at least 25% of time

Pay Transparency

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges on all job postings regardless of state. We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

The salary range for this position is $189,300.00 - $315,400.00 annually.

Additional Compensation Components

This job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units. This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
