ATI Millersburg is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Sr. Quality Manager, this role is instrumental in driving Right First-Time performance, supporting process and product quality systems, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. This is an onsite, day shift position typically working Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.

This position is designed to accommodate candidates with varying levels of experience, from early-career engineers looking to grow in manufacturing quality to experienced professionals ready to make an immediate impact.

In this role, you will serve as a problem solver and facilitator, partnering with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance, reduce quality incidents, strengthen supplier quality performance, and ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements. Successful candidates will quickly develop an understanding of ATI's Specialty Alloys & Components (SA&C) quality systems, processes, and products while building strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and events focused on reducing quality incidents and improving process capability
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities with cross-functional teams
  • Evaluate non-conformance incidents and support effective disposition, correction, and corrective action implementation
  • Support contract review activities by interpreting customer and industry specifications to ensure compliance
  • Participate in process change evaluations, risk assessments, and PFMEA activities
  • Support customer and supplier audits involving processes, products, and quality systems
  • Maintain ownership of the calibration system and related activities
  • Perform additional duties and projects assigned

Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Security Clearance


Preferred Qualifications



  • 2 years of quality work experience in a manufacturing environment such as inspection, specification review, customer audits, etc
  • Strong aptitude for applying engineering principles to solve manufacturing and process-related challenges
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, suppliers, and customers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with quality systems, root cause analysis, supplier quality, and continuous improvement methodologies strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with metalworking processes or prior manufacturing experience preferred

Salary Range: $65,000 to $97,000/annually +
