Pay Range: $ 18.00 - $19.50

The pay range is based on consideration of criteria such as required qualifications, experience, education and skills. Marquette Bank reserves the right to offer the selected applicant a salary commensurate with the applicant's qualification, experience, education and skills.

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Sales Representative manages a portfolio of Bank customers, maintaining existing relationships and identifying opportunities for additional retail financial products to increase profitability. This role requires extensive customer interaction, strong listening and probing skills, and the ability to identify and act on sales opportunities. The Senior Financial Sales Representative Flex must maintain a flexible schedule and travel to multiple branches as scheduled.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Increase relationships within assigned customer portfolio.
  • Plan and execute telephone-calling programs to introduce new products and services.
  • Develop consultative selling relationships through personal contact via telephone, mail, and appointments.
  • Increase portfolio profitability by growing deposits, loans, investments, and insurance according to annual goals.
  • Analyze customer needs and promote appropriate products and services.
  • Leverage walk-in branch traffic to identify customer needs and promote products.
  • Identify external opportunities for new customers, including personal and professional contacts.
  • Promote and sell bank products to area businesses, at expos, and community events.
  • Maintain a comprehensive tickler file with customer information and future sales opportunities.
  • Process applications, forms, and documentation to set up accounts and loans within regulatory and Bank guidelines.
  • Coach and train new FSRs/MSRs.
  • Complete certification program for Financial Sales Representative, including licenses for insurance and investment products.
  • Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations; adhering to the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies.
  • Maintain appropriate supply of product literature and operational forms.
  • Remain current in product knowledge, bank promotions, and system operations.
  • Assist FSRs/MSRs and resolve customer service issues as needed.
  • Maintain and update the Debit/Gift Card log for the branch.
  • Track and place supply orders as needed for the branch.
  • Perform job-related responsibilities that support departmental and organizational goals, consistent with the scope and purpose of the position.
Knowledge/Abilities/Experience and Training Required
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years financial sales or comparable experience.
  • Licensed with proven sales record for annuities and insurance.
  • Exceptional knowledge of banking and Marquette Bank.
  • Proactive approach to selling Bank services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including oral communication, listening, and customer service.
  • Ability to complete extensive product and sales training for customer relationship development.
  • Ability to handle difficult and sensitive business situations.
  • Proven ability to lead and train.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Ability to match products and services to customer needs.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects.
