We're looking for a detail-oriented Retail Loan Funding Closer to play a key role in the final stage of the loan process-ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely funding of mortgage loans. What You'll Do * Review and validate executed loan closing documents for accuracy and completeness * Ensure loans meet all company, investor, and compliance requirements prior to funding * Clear "Prior to Funding" conditions and resolve any discrepancies * Authorize and facilitate timely disbursement of loan funds * Maintain accuracy across multiple systems, including Encompass * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth loan closing and funding * Uphold strong attention to detail while managing deadlines and high loan volume What We're Looking For * Experience in mortgage, loan processing, or financial services (preferred but not required) * Basic understanding of the loan lifecycle-from application to funding * Familiarity with Encompass is a plus * Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills * Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word * Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills * Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently Why You'll Love This Role * Great entry point into the mortgage industry * Opportunity to build expertise in loan closing and funding operations * High-impact role directly contributing to successful loan transactions * Collaborative team environment with growth potential Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorpark, CA.
