TITLE: Shipping Supervisor
POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for timely, accurate, and complete shipments of finished goods along with various other products. Maintains finished goods and inventory accuracy also.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of five (5) years in a warehouse environment, two of which must be in a supervisory role. College can substitute for up to two (2) years of experience.
- Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises Leads, Warehouse Technicians, and manages necessary training of both.
- Coordinates with customer service, carriers and logistics, shipments from the Morristown plant and distribution warehouse.
- Ensures shipments are made on time, complete, and accurate.
- Communicates to logistics and customer service if there are variations in scheduled deliveries.
- Orders supplies.
- Generates shipping and activities reports.
- Must ensure inventory accuracy for both plant and warehouse locations.
- Maintain area and operations in compliance with work safety, food safety, and GMP guidelines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.
- Outside environmental conditions, no effective protection from weather.
- Inside and outside environments apply.
- Subject to extreme cold; temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
- Subject to extreme heat; temperatures above 100 degrees for more than one hour.
- Subject to noise, causing reason to shout to be heard above the noise level.
- Subject to vibration, exposure, fluctuating movement of the body.
- Subject to hazards such as moving machinery.
- Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors, fumes.
