Overview:
Fredrikson is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant - Immigration and Billing Specialist to support our Immigration Department. This unique role combines financial operations and legal administrative support within a fast-paced, high-volume immigration practice. Approximately half of the position is focused on billing, invoicing, trust accounting, and financial coordination, while the other half provides administrative support to attorneys and paralegals handling a wide variety of immigration matters.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial data, and enjoys collaborating with attorneys, clients, and finance professionals. This role is critical to ensuring both the operational and financial success of the department.

Key Responsibilities Include:
* Prepare, review, and coordinate client billing, including proforma review, time entry auditing, invoice preparation, and compliance with client billing guidelines.
* Partner with attorneys, department leadership, and finance team members to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections activities.
* Support accounts receivable processes, monitor outstanding balances, and assist in resolving billing inquiries and payment issues.
* Assist with client trust account administration and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with firm policies and applicable requirements.
* Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and finance teams to resolve billing and payment-related matters.
* Provide legal administrative support to immigration attorneys and paralegals across a variety of immigration case types.
* Coordinate client communications, appointments, meetings, and critical filing deadlines.
* Maintain accurate information within immigration case management systems, including data entry, reporting, and deadline tracking.
* Organize and maintain electronic client files and support the preparation and filing of immigration submissions.
* Learn and effectively utilize evolving legal, financial, and technology-driven systems to support department operations.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Two or more years of legal administrative, billing, accounting, finance, or related professional experience.
* Experience with legal billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, trust accounting, or related financial operations.
* Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders.
* Comfort learning and utilizing case management, billing, and financial software systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Experience supporting immigration law practices is helpful but not required.
* Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.

The estimated starting pay range for this position is $24.00-$39.00 per hour. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
