Mental Health Counseling Intern MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Job Functions

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge and basic skills in counseling practices and methods. * Ability to maintain processes and systems that improve the quality of student support services. * Ability to communicate effectively in writing and to prepare written and electronic documents. * Ability to plan, implement, evaluate and report activities conducted. * Ability to travel to meetings, other campus locations, and administrative offices. * Ability to maintain counseling records as required by federal and state professional counseling regulations. * Knowledge of FERPA laws and regulations. * Ability to communicate and present to large audiences. * Ability to maintain emotional and professional composer in time of crisis. * Knowledge and working practice of the NASW or LPC code of ethics. Education and Experience: * Applicant must be in second year of a MSW program or enrolled in a practicum/internship course of an approved counseling program. Required Education: * Must be enrolled in a MSW Program accredited by the CSWE or CACREP approved counseling program and enrolled in an practicum/internship course.
