Monday-Friday 11am-8:30pm

Remote- must be able to work onsite at Mahoning Valley location for 30-60 days

Summary:

The PreAccess Lead is responsible for coordinating daily operations within the PreAccess department, ensuring timely and accurate completion of preregistration, insurance verification, and authorization workflows.Under the direction of leadership, the PreAccess Lead provides realtime support, mentors staff, monitors work queue performance, and ensures adherence to Patient Access standards to support optimal patient readiness and revenue cycle outcomes.This role serves as a critical link between frontline staff and leadership, promoting consistency, quality, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate daily workload distribution and assignment of Pre-Accesswork queues.
  1. Monitor and manage work queue volumes, productivity, and timeliness.
  1. Ensure completionof,Insurance verification and eligibility, priorauthorizations and referrals,pre-registrationaccuracy (demographics, guarantor, COB), Financial clearance and patient estimates.
  1. Reassignwork and adjust staffing to meet volume demands and deadlines.
  1. Provide real-time guidance and support to staff on workflows and escalations.
  1. Mentor new and existing team members on workflows and best practices.
  1. Assist with onboarding and training of new hires.
  1. Perform daily quality audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  1. Identify trends in errors, denials, or workflow gaps and escalate to leadership.
  1. Reinforce adherence to regulatory requirements, payer guidelines, and internal workflows.
  1. Monitor keywork queues (e.g. Patient, Authorization, and Estimates)
  1. Ensure timely handling of urgent and priority cases.

Other information:

Technical Expertise

  1. Experience in a hospital-based Patient Access, PreAccess, or Revenue Cycle role with demonstrated knowledge of preservice workflows is required.
  1. Proven ability to manage and prioritize work queue-driven workflows, including monitoring volumes, assigning work, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  1. Proficiency in Epic or comparable electronic health record (EHR) system, work queuemanagement, documentation standards, patient account maintenance.
  1. Experience inhealthcare, pediatric healthcare access is preferred.
  1. Proficiency inMS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similarsoftware is required.
  2. Prior experience with insurance verificationpreferred

Education and Experience

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor'sdegree preferred.
2. Licensure: NA
3. Certification: Certification in healthcareaccess (e.g. CHAA or CMAA) preferred
4. Years of relevant experience: Minimum 2 years of Patient Access or Pre-Access experience required
5. Years of supervisory experience: Minimum 2 years leadership or lead experience preferred
