Rutgers University-Camden, the School of Art & Sciences, Biology Department, the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology (
CCIB), and the Yakoby Lab, invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position. This position is supported by
NIH funded grant. The position is renewable based on availability of continuing funding.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is interested in generating new platforms to investigate the co-evolution of the the epidermal growth factor receptor (
EGFR) and its ligand across Drosophila species. The successful candidate will use a combination of molecular, genetic, biochemical, and computational approaches to study how
EGFR signaling levels evolved across species. The successful candidate must have experience with genome engineering (i.e.
CRISPR/Cas9), and broad use of molecular biology and biochemical tools to validate genomic alternations. The successful applicant is expected to independently conduct their own research project, and be involved in other laboratory projects related to gene regulation and tissue patterning. The candidate should be excited to work in an interdisciplinary program.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
PhD in biology, developmental biology, molecular evolution and development, or related fields. Experience in genome engineering is required. |
