Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Assistant Director of Quality Control for Dining Services. This position reports to the Executive Director of Dining Services and is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of all aspects of Dining Operations, with an annual operating budget of 2.5 million, including cash and catering sales. This position incorporates the training, development and supervision of assistant managers and contractual employees.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Maintains the modernization and improvement of food production techniques.
- Updates menus and changes recipes to include organic and non-GMO foods where applicable.
- Develops and tests new recipes using the "Menus of Change: principles.
- Plans and conducts annual culinary training for all personnel as needed.
- Attends professional development classes and/or conferences to increase knowledge of current food trends.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in food service management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, and a minimum or five years of experience in food service.

| Certifications/Licenses |
- Serv Safe Certification, or certification within one year from date of employment.
- A valid driver's license would be required for this position.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Computer literacy in industry standard software.

- Culinary degree with a minimum of five years experience, including supervision, food preparation and knowledge of the "Menus of Change" principles.
