Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Sr Program Coordinator. Reporting to the One Stop Team Lead/Manager within the Division of Enrollment Services and Experience, who reports to the Assistant Director/Supervisor, One Stop Student Services Center, the Sr. Program Coordinator is a critical member of the One Stop team who works to improve the quality of the student experience; organizing the Rutgers University-Newark One Stop in ways that facilitate student success via a host of student related services existing in the Division of Enrollment Management. The primary role of the Sr. Program Coordinator is to assist students in navigating the various pathways after enrollment at Rutgers University-Newark: student accounting, class registration, financial aid, etc. The Sr. Program Coordinator will act as a facilitator to resolve any student service(s) issue(s); be knowledgeable about all student benefits and functions of the offices of financial aid, the registrar, and student accounting.
- Provides administrative support to the one-stop center/student services center. Will be in daily contact with students, families, and other University departments.
- Provides administrative support for the website that supports the One Stop Student Services Center for Rutgers University-Newark/Camden.
- Advocates for the actual or perceived to resolve students inquires. Acts a facilitator and/or case manager for students as it relates to enrollment services needs that may include but not be limited to: Office of Financial Aid; Office of the Registrar; Academic Advising Offices; Office of Business Services & Student Accounting; Office of Student Life and many other offices across the university.
- Upon understanding "run-around" and related procedures and controls involved, the incumbent will consult with student service manager.
- Is sensitive to diversity, special and multi-cultural issues.
- Counsel students on a variety of concerns for registration, financial aid, billing, due dates, payment plans and parking.
- Advise, investigate, problem-solve, and resolve questions and issues from all students, families, colleagues, third parties, outside agencies, and community members.
- Counsel students and their parents on financial aid application procedures and eligibility for all sources of funding. Provide advising to students and families with financial aid concerns such as: FAFSA application, disbursements, cost of attendance, eligibility, types of aid, and student employment.
- Uses of all mainframe student record systems and various software and web based resources such as National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), Sakai, Rutgers RaiderLink App, EAB, FAA Access, OSFP, HESAA, ELM resources
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Institutional regulations for assisting students in eligibility of student aid
- Review financial aid award packages
- Provide information to students on the financial and academic impact of course registration changes (dropping, adding, and single course or full withdrawal)
- Provide navigational support for financial aid self-service tools on myRUN website and Supportal/ myRutgers portal
- Will support various offices within enrollment management/services with such items that include but are not limited to: collect and image scholarship and financial aid paperwork; communication with SAR issues; etc.
- Submit request for emergency funding
- Respond to general class schedule and scheduling inquiries (e.g., course descriptions/ pre-requisites/linked courses, final exam schedules).
- Assist students with request and receipt of official/unofficial transcripts (e.g., emergency transcript requests, transcripts for employment).
- Assist with requesting original and/or replacement diplomas
- Collect and image forms (e.g. Withdrawal forms, residency appeals, name changes, visitor status forms)
- Assist with enrollment verification
- Provide read-only information on academic record (e.g., early academic assessment grades, final grades, incomplete grades).
- Assist students with on-line payments
- Assist students with understanding information related to installment payment plans
- Assist students, families and other stakeholders to understand options for third-party payments
- Provide information regarding visitor or non-matriculation status, veteran status, international status, and senior citizen audit.
- Provide information for the returning student process
- Provide information regarding the withdrawal schedule
- Assist students with transfer credits questions (e.g., articulate how decisions are made for a A/IB credit, how to appeal decisions).
- Assist with manual course registration (e.g., add/drop classes), pending necessary approvals
- Provide information on requests for exceptions (e.g., pre-requisite overrides, max credit cap)
- Provide information about unemployed tuition waivers and direct students to Registrar to initiate the process
- Identify and release select holds (e.g., financial) to allow students to register, with appropriate approvals
- Identify and release holds requiring Special Permissions Numbers pending authorization by approving parties
- Complete degree changes upon approval of appropriate school official
- Provide information and implications of re-enrollment
- Engage in regular professional development offered by the Campus and will make a concerted effort to model best practices in student service delivery.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of program design and execution, coordination, organization, facilitation,report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach.
- Also requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function that includes coordination of work and management of people; good communication skills; and computer literacy.
