| Posting Summary |
The Department of Social Work at Rutgers University-Newark seeks candidates for a full-time, non-tenure-track, calendar-year Instructor of Professional Practice position to serve as the Assistant Director of Practicum Education. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, supporting the coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of practicum education. The position will contribute to student learning, practicum quality, and program compliance through teaching practicum placement coordination, and ongoing communication with students and practicum partners, in compliance with the most current Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (
EPAS) of the Council on Social Work Education (
CSWE). Teaching will consist of courses related to practicum or practice coordination, using reflective and competency-based instructional approaches that integrate students' practicum experiences with professional expectations. Some evening and Saturday availability is required.
The successful candidate will strongly identify with the purposes and values of the social work profession, understand social work education, and possess a broad knowledge of social work practice.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
Applicants must have a
MSW from a
CSWE-accredited school of social work, experience teaching social work courses at the college level, a minimum of three (3) years of post-
MSW professional practice experiences, at least two (2) years of experience serving as a practicum instructor with
SIFI certification, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners, strong organizational, and interpersonal skills. A license in social work is preferred. |
