Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Sr Accountant to lead and improve the day-to-day financial activities of the company. This role will report to the VP Finance and Controller to ensure proper financial controls and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have supervisor experience and thrive in a high growth environment. The Senior Accountant will be a partner to the VP of Finance and Controller as well as the CFO and help take the financial operations of the company to the next level.

Duties:

  • Oversee monthly and year-end financial close.
  • Oversee annual financial audit process.
  • Co-manage/maintain monthly account reconciliation of general Ledger accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare weekly cash forecast.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, including operational and income related tax compliance.
  • Participate in the accounting integration of future acquisitions.
  • Anticipate and respond to ad hoc requests and inquiries and perform other duties as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance and accounting department.
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6-8+ years' experience in accounting and finance in a fast-paced company
  • Some Public Accounting Experience preferred.
  • Accounting degree/CPA preferred.
  • Understanding and compliance with financial and accounting policies, internal control procedures, and practices
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with colleagues of all levels across the organization
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP system (Workday preferred)

  • Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods.
  • Must be able to use close vision.
  • Must have manual dexterity for typing.
