Are you passionate about precision, safety, and keeping critical energy systems running at peak performance? As a Measurement Technician II, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of gas measurement and regulation systems. This is a hands-on technical role where your expertise directly supports safe gas delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across our measurement infrastructure.

What you will do:

  • Test, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot measurement and control equipment (meters, regulators, valves, RTUs, EGM systems, gas analyzers).

  • Perform routine maintenance on odorizers, including setting injection rates and reporting usage and concentration.

  • Operate and maintain power supply systems, in-line heaters, and related infrastructure.

  • Install and identify piping systems (small-diameter instrument tubing, pipes, valves, fittings) using measurement devices.

  • Verify, calibrate, and ensure electrical and instrumentation systems meet applicable codes and standards.

  • Conduct basic tests, inspections, and accurately complete reports and documentation, including gas handling procedures.

  • Provide occasional direction to other employees on routine measurement-related tasks.

What you have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Two years of directly relevant training and experience.

  • Must demonstrate a detailed understanding of Enbridge Safety Policies and Procedures and act in accordance with them at all times.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.

  • Communicate verbally and in writing to collect and relay basic facts.

  • Willing to assist with more complex tasks, equipment and procedures.

  • Able to work with significant independence.

  • Proficient in the use of standard office software applications.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

  • Possesses the desire to learn and advance, as a Measurement Technician.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily field-oriented (outdoor) with specific office (indoor) functions for training, meetings, and documentation of required tasks dictated by the Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies for which Enbridge must comply.

  • Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, on call & standby, and travel overnight as required.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to Grasping, kneeling, light-moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read the fine print), hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations. Agility can ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices using feet, legs, and/or hands and arms.

Mental Requirements:

Include but are not limited to the Ability to: understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information; understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions; organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology; organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
