Get to Know Your Team:

  • Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Radiologist and Director of Radiology, perform quality CT scans and, as needed, radiography, while applying both radiation and physical safety measures.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in contrast administration, positioning, and exposure technique.
  • Remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills.
  • Use independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Certification and current registration for Registered Technologist (R.T.) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Graduation from or currently enrolled in an accreditedCT training certificate program or school.
  • Must hold or obtain current licensure as RT(R)(CT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within one year of hire.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
