Job Summary:
The Automotive Mechanic I will modify cars and trucks in a second stage manufacturing environment, performing a wide range of component removals, modifications and installations. The Automotive Mechanic I will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform vehicle upfits by following work instructions and build procedures.
* Remove and install mechanical and electrical system components.
* Read, interpret, and follow assembly procedures.
* Maintain vehicle records by entering required information into the build book system.
* Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting
breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.
* Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up.

Education and Experience (required):
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 1-2 years of previous experience required.
* Mechanical ability and ability to operate shop equipment.
*MUST have rolling toolbox

Education and Experience (preferred):
* Certificate in Automotive Technology or related.
* National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s).
* State Mechanic Certification(s).
* Valid driver"s license.
