What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a motivated an Electrical Designer to join our Transit & Rail Systems team. This position provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals to develop technical expertise while supporting the planning, design, and delivery of complex transit and rail projects across North America. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: * Assist in the design and analysis of electrical and systems infrastructure for transit and rail projects. What you will bring to our firm:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
* A minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience. * Strong interest in transit, rail, transportation, and infrastructure systems. * Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and design principles. * Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Willingness to travel occasionally for project assignments and field work. What we prefer you bring:
* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
* Internship or co-op experience in transportation, rail, electrical, or infrastructure engineering. * Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, or similar engineering software. * Exposure to power systems, communications, controls, or transportation technologies. * Interest in pursuing a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $114,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
