Join our Pulmonary Diagnostics team!We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist with pulmonary function testingexpertiseto provide diagnostic testing services in our outpatient setting.

Pulmonary Function Testing provides comprehensive pulmonary diagnostic services to support the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with respiratory disorders. This position performs a variety of pulmonary function procedures while ensuring high-quality patient care andaccuratetest results

Availability Needed:

• Coverage every Friday(fullday)

• Availabilityto pick upadditionalhoursbeyond Fridays,to support departmental staffing needsbased on patient volume andPTOcoverage.

The ideal candidatehas:

• Experiencein pulmonary function testing with CPFT certification

• Experience with spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion studies, bronchodilator responsiveness testing, and methacholine challenge testing.

• Experience working independently in a pulmonary diagnostics setting

Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist II - MCH role performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems of patients to aid physician/advanced practice practitioners in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders. Administers respiratory care modalities and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiovascular system, under supervision of the physician/advanced practice practitioner. Mentors, trains, coaches, schedules and orientates team members as assigned.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate from AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license in Respiratory Care, RRT, or CRRT required. Current BLS Certification required. Current ACLS, PALS and NRP Certifications required or must obtain within one year of start date or in accordance with department guidelines. Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) certification preferred for Respiratory Therapists working in Pulmonary Function lab.
3. Experience: Two years of acute care experience preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Respiratory Therapist role.
