The Opportunity: In this role, you will report to the Hiring Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Location: Albany, NY/Rensselaer, NY Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Hourly Rate: $26 - $27/hr plus mileage, parking, and toll reimbursement Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license/CDL required This is not a work-from-home career. The ideal employee should reside in the Greater Albany, NY area, be responsible for traveling between multiple locations, and be able to travel outside of Greater Albany, NY up to 5% of the time. How you will thrive and create an impact Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. The Services Operations Specialist plays a key support role across multiple facilities and/or customer sites, primarily within their assigned geographic region. They step in to perform various job functions during periods of scheduled associate vacations, leaves of absence, unfilled positions, or emergency situations. While their primary responsibilities are focused within a designated territory, they also serve as secondary backup, which may require travel beyond their home territory or state.
