Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Remote/Virtual - Must work and live in the state of Michigan



Purpose: The QA Specialist will assist in reviewing project activities, tracking deliverables, monitoring reporting submissions, and supporting quality improvement efforts across funded initiatives. The position will also play a key role in identifying opportunities to connect partners implementing similar projects or serving similar populations to encourage collaboration, shared learning, and alignment with statewide transformation priorities.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, relationship management abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and project portfolios.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and follow-up support to funded partners regarding reporting expectations, documentation requirements, and quality improvement practices.
  • Assist with preparation for audits, compliance reviews, and leadership reporting activities.
  • Participate in partner meetings, learning collaboratives, and cross-functional workgroups to support statewide alignment and communication.
  • Document monitoring activities, partner engagement efforts, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience: Experience in public health, healthcare administration, grant management, quality assurance, compliance monitoring, program evaluation, or related fields. Familiarity with grant-funded programs and financial or programmatic reporting processes. Knowledge of federal grant compliance principles, including subrecipient monitoring and 2 CFR 200 preferred. Experience building collaborative relationships with community organizations, healthcare partners, vendors, or external stakeholders is required. Interest in rural health transformation, health equity, Medicaid innovation, or social determinants of health initiatives preferred.

  • Ability to learn and utilize computer processes
  • Ability to work well with others on a team, work independently, and multi-task within tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint; Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in data tracking, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.



Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Position requires the use of a laptop. This position is occasionally required to transport a laptop, audiovisual equipment and brochures. This position may require some very limited travel.
