What You'll Do:
- Perform routine and moderately complex maintenance and repair on mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and vacuum systems following detailed instructions and established procedures
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair vacuum equipment and system failures related to pressure degradation, vacuum quality, leaks, or mechanical malfunctions
- Perform preventative maintenance on primary and secondary vacuum pumps, including rotary/roughing pumps, scroll pumps, and turbomolecular pumps
- Change oils, replace scroll tips, service pumps, and maintain supporting vacuum equipment
- Operate helium mass spectrometer leak detectors and residual gas analyzers (RGAs) to identify, isolate, and repair vacuum leaks
- Perform vacuum system bake-outs and conditioning processes at elevated temperatures to support ultra-high vacuum performance
- Assemble and modify vacuum system components, including ConFlat (CF) flange connections, seals, and associated hardware, using contamination-control practices
- Maintain plumbing and supporting mechanical systems as needed
- Work from drawings, schematics, written procedures, and verbal instructions
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation
- Follow cleanroom, safety, and contamination-control procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing vacuum systems, mechanical equipment, or electro-mechanical systems.
What Sets You Apart:
- 2+ years of related maintenance experience
- 2+ years of concentrated maintenance training
- Experience working with vacuum systems, pumps, or related mechanical equipment preferred
- Basic understanding of vacuum systems, gas flow, and material handling in controlled environments
- Familiarity with helium leak detectors, residual gas analyzers (RGAs), multimeters, and precision mechanical tools
- Ability to read drawings, schematics, and technical instructions
- Strong troubleshooting and hands-on mechanical skills
- Ability to work independently and support multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.

- Work may involve vacuum systems, cleanroom environments, and fine-detail mechanical assembly
- Frequent movement between workstations, equipment, and maintenance areas
- Occasional lifting of tools, pumps, materials, and equipment
- Work may involve tight spaces, elevated surfaces, and extended periods of focused troubleshooting
- Use of appropriate cleanroom and personal protective equipment (PPE) may be needed.
